Old School Photo of the Day

On This Day in Motocross: October 12, 1980, Suzuki factory rider Kent Howerton, the reigning AMA 250cc National Motocross Champion, wins the Trans-USA round at Braselton, Georgia, and with it the championship in the four-race series. Howerton beat out Yamaha's Broc Glover by just two points, with the back-from-injury Bob "Hurricane" Hannah finishing third. (Photo from the Vintage Factory.)
